Tsune Momo

There is something surreal about being in the presence of a Maiko which can never be expressed in words or film. Tsune Momo is 20 years old and has been Maiko for 4 years and graduates as a Geiko (i.e Geisha in Kyoto) this autumn.

She is perfect... she doesn't sign her name but puts her little finger to her lips and leaves her mark. Momo is Japanese for peach.

Our girls really do not seem to appreciate the subleties of Japanese culture, sadly.
