Last night Cerys and I were invited on to the stage in front of about 350-400 people to try out the traditional Taiko drumming. We'd just watched the amazingly musical and energetic display by a large and talented group, then us two pasty-faced Europeans wander up on to the stage to have a crack - I bet they were happy! Anyway - thankfully they kept it kind of simple for us, and we managed to get quite funky I think! Brilliant and I'm motivated to try and join some type of Taiko group back in Wales when I return - so if anybody knows about one please let me know!!
