Cerys - Homestay

It had been a busy first day… I had a very typical breakfast with my hosts of Miso Soup, Sticky Rice, Pumpkin, Small fried fish in Ginger, honey and soy sauce, Nato (raw egg with beans - not so yummy) amongst other delicious but intriguing dishes. It was the beginning of being ‘Lost in Translation’ as we ended up wearing our suits though we (Jimmy chan and I) were on a casual day (d'oh!) - however we were so fortunate to be taken to see the longest suspension bridge in the world at Akashi (nearly 4 Kilometres) and to be taken up in the big wheel (even though Jimmy was a little apprehensive of heights) to have a better view. We also went to see Shikoku and the Otsuka art museum and enjoying some "relax" time before driving straight back to make our first presentation.

The presentation went well (if not a little too long what with translation time) and we were impressed with the welcome, our photo in the newsletter not to mention the singing of our national anthem ("gwlad"!!!) and swinging of arms!
